Federal Minister for Science and Technology Mir Changez Khan Jamali has said that a big change is coming as a result of general elections in May 2013. A neutral caretaker government would be set-up for 90 days before the poll. Saraiki people would have to do struggle for restitution of their usurped rights and formation of a separate province.

He was addressing a seminar on Standards & Quality Awareness in South Punjab jointly organised by PSQCA, Air University and Daily Aftab here on Saturday. The minister said that days had gone when the slogan mongers swept the election, now political forces would come into power based on their services. He said that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto had framed a national Quality & Standard policy 17 years ago but it could not be apply due to red-tapism of bureaucracy.

The minister said that national Quality & Standard policy would be introduced in June 2013. The minister said that Planning and Finance divisions were main hurdle in the execution of the project and policies. May Allah save us from these two divisions.

Drawing the attention of Saraiki people the minister said, "Jaag Saraiki Jaag" and said that they would have to contest their case on their own. He said that there would have not been a demand for a separation province had the Lahoris served the Saraiki in a better way. He urged upon the people to get maximum knowledge for the achievement of their objective while local SMEs would have to develop their standards and quality to compete the other countries like India, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, China etc.
